Fiber optic & splicing

Glass done properly, and proven by test.

Installation, fusion splicing, OTDR certification, fault location and campus backbones across Qatar. Call or WhatsApp +974 7406 2452.

Fiber is what you use when copper runs out of distance or bandwidth — linking buildings across a compound, floors in a tower, or a camera at the far end of a yard. Haya designs, installs, splices, tests and documents fiber across Qatar, and repairs it when an excavator finds it first.

Why the splice decides everything

A splice is where two fibers become one, and its quality governs the link for its whole life. Fusion splicing — fusing the glass cores with a precision arc — produces losses an order of magnitude lower than mechanical splices, which is why it is the professional standard.

Preparation is most of the craft: correct stripping, a precise cleave, immaculate cleanliness. A speck of dust produces a splice that looks perfect and fails on the meter. We work to measured results rather than appearance, and every splice is verified before an enclosure is sealed — because reopening a joint closure in a hot duct chamber is nobody's idea of a good afternoon.

Testing is the difference between working and certified

Fiber that carries traffic today may be sitting on marginal loss that fails when equipment ages or the network speeds up. Insertion loss testing confirms the end-to-end budget; an OTDR trace maps every event along the fiber — each splice, connector and bend — with its distance and loss.

You receive the traces. That means you can hold a contractor to a standard, and that a future fault can be compared against the day it was installed rather than diagnosed from scratch.

When a link goes down

Fiber breaks for mundane reasons: an excavator in the compound, a crushed cable in a riser, a flooded chamber. OTDR pinpoints the break by distance, which turns a search across a whole site into digging in one place.

We repair properly — cutting back to sound fiber, fusion splicing, protecting the joint and re-testing the full link — rather than leaving a temporary patch that fails again in three months.
